What gets compared
A percentile is calculated against every result logged for the same sport, gender, age band, and test — a like-for-like pool, not the entire platform lumped together. A percentile next to a 15-year-old girl's sprint time is drawn from other 15-year-old girls' sprint times, not a mixed pool that would make the number meaningless.
A floor, so a small sample never misleads
A bucket needs at least 5 pooled results before a percentile shows at all. Below that, nothing displays rather than showing a number pulled from a handful of data points that wouldn't actually mean anything statistically.
Anonymous by design
A percentile shows a rank, nothing else. No org, no player, and no other organization's underlying data are ever exposed in the process — the number is the only thing that crosses between organizations, never the results it was built from.
Every result carries its own percentile next to it — not a separate lookup, not a report you have to go find.
