1. The short version
Vantic does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not share any browsing data with advertisers. The Vantic app (app.vantic.co.za) uses your browser's local storage — not cookies — to keep you signed in and remember a couple of simple preferences. This marketing website may, in future, use a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies at all and cannot identify you individually.
2. The Vantic app — local storage, not cookies
When you sign in to Vantic, your session is kept using your browser's local storage (not a cookie). This is strictly necessary for the app to work — without it, you'd need to log in again on every page. Specifically:
- Sign-in session — proves you're logged in, managed by our authentication provider (Supabase).
- "Remember me" preference — whether your session should survive closing the browser, or end when you close it.
- Simple UI preferences — e.g. light/dark mode.
None of this is used for advertising, is shared with any third party, or tracks you across other websites. It stays on your own device.
3. This marketing website
This website (vantic.co.za) does not currently run any analytics or tracking. If we do turn on analytics in future, it will be Plausible — a tool specifically chosen because it does not use cookies, does not require a cookie-consent banner under most privacy laws, and only ever reports aggregate numbers (like "how many people visited this page"), never anything that identifies an individual visitor. [Confirm before publishing whether analytics has actually been switched on by the time this page is live, and update this section to say so plainly either way.]
4. No advertising or third-party tracking
Vantic does not run advertising of any kind, does not use third-party ad networks, and does not sell or share visitor data with anyone for marketing purposes.
5. Managing local storage
You can clear local storage for this site at any time through your browser's settings (usually under Privacy/Site Data). Doing so on the Vantic app will simply sign you out — it won't affect any data stored in your account.
6. Changes to this policy
If what's described above changes — for example, if analytics is switched on, or a new feature genuinely needs a cookie — we'll update this page and the date above.
